Tonight History Was Made
For the first time in American history, we have a black president. Granted Barack Hussein Obama is not 100% black, but he is still considered black, and this is still a huge milestone for America. This election represents how far we have come as a nation, and how we have triumphed over petty racism. Americans finally realize that political skill is not skin deep. This is truly a historic event. Unfortunately, there is now a lot of pressure on President Obama’s shoulders to prove that the American public didn’t make a mistake; not only does Obama now represent America, but he represents African-Americans. I hope that he rises to this momentous occasion and is remembered not just for being a BLACK president, but a GREAT president. Congratulations to Obama and (reluctantly) Joe Biden
